A well-attended Open House was held at Meridian Oaks Assisted Living
Facility on September 16, 2005.
According to Dan Hollis, Marketer for Nightingale, the Open House was a
"successful relationship builder" between Nightingale and Meridian Oaks.
Dan, who was in charge of the Open House, reported that many senior citizens
benefited from attending the event. They received free blood pressure
screening, physical therapy evaluations, and had the opportunity to upgrade
their glucometers without charge.
Noel Felipe, a physical therapist for Nightingale, was on hand to provide
the free PT evaluations. Nightingale also provides wound care evaluation and
treatment for residents of Meridian Oaks assisted living facility, which is
located at 1251 W. 96th Street in Indianapolis.
Visitors to the Open House were also shown samples of the latest durable
medical equipment, including walkers, canes, wheel-chairs, and others.
Dick Crum, gardening host for WIBC radio station, was available to entertain
the residents, and provide live radio commentary throughout the day. The
staff of Meridian Oaks provided food and drinks.
