Nightingale announces 2008 Veterans Grant Recipient

December 13, 2008 (Carmel, IN) -- Nightingale Home Healthcare's annual holiday banquet was well attended-400 plus-and had employees from all six agencies represented.

Employee bonuses were given out along with the "Employee of the Year" awards. A highlight of the evening's presentations was the gifting of the nursing scholarship to Grace Taglieri. The scholarship, which is presented collectively by Dr. Brar and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Baldev Singh Brar, is granted to a nursing student who is a military veteran or related to a veteran of foreign wars. Grace's father served in Vietnam in the Walking Dead brigade. Read more about Grace and her accomplishments on this site under scholarships.

Dr. Brar outlined many of the achievements that were accomplished at Nightingale in 2008-with the addition of a hospice division being one of the highlights. A newer branch of hospice just recently opened in Fort Wayne, IN.
